Bahston

We had the chance to go to Boston a couple of weekends back. Wes went to conferences all day while I prowled around the town. The last day we did some serious sight-seeing. I think my favorite sites were the old cemetaries and the USS Constitution, or Old Ironsides, she was a beautiful boat and still in commission. I think Wes' favorite site was the Cheers bar.

Boston was very cold, but beautiful and a great city to take long walks. I still get a little nervous walking by myself (not from muggers, I have a horrible sense of direction) and strangely enough I got asked for directions everywhere I went. Those Bostonians think they are so smart with their Ivy league schools and all.
It was really nice to spend some time with Wes. We even got to get a gelato in the Italian part of town and enjoyed a relaxing night at the Boston Symphony. Somehow I didn't realize that walking a mile in high heels being 8 months pregnant on cobblestones is NOT a good idea.

It Was Nine Years Ago...

Happy Anniversary Wes!
You have been such an amazing husband. Every day I am glad that I married you and every day I am happy to be your wife. Thanks for being a good dad and a great cook and AWESOME everywhere else! We have had such a great time these last nine years. I think my favorite times in our marriage include you lighting things on fire: the vw, the vacuum, the lawnmower, the pathfinder...things just can't get better...or can they? Here's to at least nine more years of bliss.

I love you!

The Bedazzler

This is the Bedazzler guys, come on. I'm not sure which would be cooler to be addicted to though. If I had a cowboy hat like that, watch out! I do think that somewhere in the recesses of my mom's house she has a bedazzler and I tried to use it. It is not as easy as it looks.

Tag

I've been tagged a couple of times so here are some little-known facts about me: special thanks to Ashlee and Jo for inspiring this, if you are reading this and have not already been tagged ha ha now you are.
I am a sucker for:
Horses, A really good sappy book, those commercials where the kids are starving, Dr. Pepper, My husband when he wears his tighter jeans awww yeah (not skinny jeans mind you) soccer, super long walks with jane, days when I only have laundry and dishes to do, and when kids cut their own hair, I don't know why but I looove that. Oh and when they run up after sacrament meeting and say "HOOO" into the microphone.

My worldly desires: An old but almost already restored beetle, an ipod with a docking station with the speakers like Marci and Elizabeth have, a set of drinking glasses that match, a horse, a room where all the furniture matches somewhat. (sorry Kassi)

I will never wear______again: Um, I'm not really that into fashion, so if I say something it will suddenly be SUPER cool next week so I will have to say something really random that I really wouldn't mind wearing again...legwarmers.

Things I Love: I'm pretty sure I already answered that one accidentally in the first paragraph but I could really keep going. The gospel, My family, Parties with my family, My husbands grandparents (and parents of course they are watching Jane this week while we go to Boston NICE), Loyal friends, Trips where Wes' work pays for most of it, Having socks on when the tile is cooold. Snow and snowboarding.

Things I Hate: When I go snowboarding and my hair gets wet and frozen, I call it the matted dog hair look (it is probably in fashion now). The feel of velour and velvet, seriously what is hiding in there? Being LATE!!!! Letting someone down. Regretting not doing the right thing, When jane poops her panties, it doesn't happen often. When someone thinks I'm lying but Im not. When I'm not really good at something.

Randomness: I am addicted to bejeweled, my husband and I have this competition going on and we keep having to be the top score and it is my turn right now. I waste at least an hour a day doing that, should I admit that?

Starting Today I am a Blahgger

So I am just going to be honest, Wes has been doing all my blogging homework so far but now it is up to me I guess. Here's just a little background. We moved from St. George in about June where we had lived for about a year. Then we moved into my parents home until we found a home in North Ogden. My parents are on a mission to Belarus so that makes it ok, right? So now we are just getting settled in and yes, I am 7 months pregnant with a boy. Yea I think. Wes is really excited to be working at Mackay Dee hospital as a speech therapist in the in-patient and rehab settings and I work as a dental hygiene sub whenever I get called or feel like working which ends up being about two days a week. It is perfect because I get to escape from being Ursula and Prince Phillip all day long. Why does Jane always get to be the princess? Anyway we just put up an awesome fence with the help of our dear dear friends and family and now life is finally getting blog-worthy. Thanks for all the awesome comments guys I love it and LOVE LOVE LOVE looking at all your blogs. I do get inspired but admittedly I am really intimidated. Just as a side note this is at Wes' brothers wedding and if jane had her way she would never ever take that purple dress off, she often wears it over jeans and a t-shirt. Refer to picture with jane and her best friend max just in case you don't believe me.

Jane at Lagoon

Jane went on this ride about 10 times, it was right before closing and there was no one there. Finally after getting off and going around in line and getting back on, the attendant just said she could stay on. Something about riding Dumbo I guess, however she never went up and down.

Halloween

Jane was so excited to go as Cinderella, the only natural choice for us was as you can see the ugly stepsisters! Jane had so much fun this year, unfortunately though Wes got us all sick and she was sick for trick or treating. We still had a fun time and laughed a lot as she would tell some of the people handing out candy that it wasn't good to eat a lot of candy, and others that she didn't want more than one piece.

I only had to tell her once!

Just kidding, this was a mosquito bite, actually two that continued to swell and swell. It never hurt her, but it was sure fun for a couple of days.
