Taking over!

As the post states, I'm taking over the blog. If Kristine is too busy at her summer job to update, then I guess I will. We have managed to fit in a few fun things around her work schedule, so I thought I show you a few. We were able to go to the aquarium with Tyler and Afsonai and Jane loved being a fish and playing in the coral. Heath loved when we accidentally dropped him in the stingray tank! (okay so that part really didn't happen, but there's not much to say because he just sits around and doesn't do anything)

We also went to the zoo for Fisher's birthday and as you can tell it was a rainy day, but fun none the less.
Heath loved all the animals, at least the ones he could see from being covered up from the rain, so I guess he really didn't love the animals at all.
Jane kept wanting to ride the elephant's trunk, and wouldn't get off. Luckily it makes some elephant sounds and most of the other kids that wanted to sit on it got scared easily, so we pretty much had it to ourselves.
Funnest part of the zoo, is drinking from the lions mouth!
Richard, Sara, and Jocelyn stopped by on their way home to Kansas City for a couple of hours and we had a wonderful time eating ice cream and apple dumplings.

We also managed to go for a bike ride with Randy, Kassi, Oliver, and Ian out at the bird refuge. It was a great day and we got to see a lot of fun birds. Ian's favorite part was finally getting out of the trailer. I think Randy and Kassi strategically placed him in the one I was pulling so that I would have to hear him say "out" everytime we stopped to look at something. By the end, he had somehow managed to pull the cover off and was doing his best to pull himself out while we were still riding.

Heath didn't get to go for a ride but did get pushed around while Kristine read her book. I told her I would just get him a C collar to keep his head up, but she didn't go for that.

Oliver got to ride behind Randy on his new afterburner, and it was similar to a sled rider and his team of dogs. He just kept telling Randy where to go and what he "had to do!" We went to a park after and had lunch and played for a while. All in all it was a fun day.

We have also had time to plant our wonderful garden which consists of about four rows of peas. That's the kind of garden that I like, the other part of our garden which isn't shown here consists of the farmers market where we just go and pay for what we want and don't have to do any work, ahh the american dream!
