Something I Heard Yesterday

Oh my baby Jane, when did you get big enough to say,
"Mom I have an m&m stuck in my belly button"

What other delicious snack foods you got in there?

Here's what is new at our house

Moses the cat
I'm starting to think dogs are better, but we are still grieving

Why just eat something when you can wear it too!

Don't be alarmed, that's cookie

Happy boy with six teeth, but they are all on the left side...weird.

Jane was climbing up the slide at the playground and slipped and broke her arm.

Jane is starting to read and loves the Dick and Jane books Grandma.

I'm upset about all this President stuff

No, this is not a political post, who cares about politics at this time, this blog is about me, me, ME!!!

Yes folks I just got put in as primary president.

Please feel free to chuckle and guffaw in glee because it is me and not you.

Please also feel free to comment any suggestions and I will gladly pay you in brownies, simply

I love you Mom, but I may not be active by the time you guys get home in January, nothing personal.

Blah Blah Blog

Us at the Real Salt Lake Game, Cassie came too, but we didn't have a picture of all of us, sorry Cassie.
The first snow of the season, Jane was super excited to get all dressed up and make snow angels, you should have seen how good the angel was, it's amazing how much better they show up when there's grass underneath.

We went to the Black Island corn maze the other day, it was fun. They had slides, train rides, and of course the ever popular corn box (see picture below)

Don't Worry I'm Not Driving

daily conversation: so...who is not at work? who can i call?

conversation after she calls someone: see above video.

My Grandparent are Great! (grandparents for jane and cactus) get it?

Last week we got to visit Grandma and Grandpa Bair and these are a few treasures with which we came home.
My grandpa loves to paint
I'm so grateful to have such wonderful grandparents who love their children and grandchildren and even their great granchildren! They are amazing servants of the Lord. Grandma and Grandpa Bair have served many missions including: Ghana, Africa; Mexico at the temple; and Paraguay. Grandpa is a patriarch and even gave me my patriarical blessing and performed Wes and my marriage ceremony! They are pioneers in their own way and I am so proud and lucky to have them as grandparents. Oh the things with which we are blessed!

Look what I can do today

I really have made it. or have it made...whatever.

The other morning Wes and I heard a noise at about 7:30 in the morning.

Wes got out of bed and went into the tv room to check it out.

Jane had gotten out of bed, turned on the tube and was munching on cheetos!

Sweeeet! She has the entertainment and breakfast thing figured out!

Needless to say after Wes and I are done munching on our treats at night I have to put them up and hide the remote so that she doesn't do that again.

Unfortunately Wes doesn't blog as much as I do so we don't have a picture.
But this one is cute anyway.

Little stinker

Top Ten Reasons I Love Babies at Six Months of Age

1. Sleeping through the night (mostly)

2. You CAN feed them baby food but you don't HAVE to yet i.e. no messes

3. Non-mobile

4. No teeth to brush or floss-the gummy smile

5. No hair to brush or cut, at least mine anyway

6. No talking back-like this
7. A bath can be the big activity for the day and wears him out

8. He can't decide to laugh or cry sometimes-I know what that feels like

9. He is mesmerized by a sock or toy car or piece of paper and he thinks they are DELICIOUS

10. A thumb and a blankie make it all better

Family Pics

We just got our family pictures back-we had them done at our house and then we got the cd to keep and make copies of whichever ones we like. Recognize the box Mom and Dad? It says "Welfare Services" on the side. There are some good ones I will have to post later.

But Wes found the picture for Our Christmas Card this holiday season, he said, "this has got to be our Christmas Card!" I agree, it is quite memorable.

We have never got them out on time so we will see...

But this picture really takes the cake

Unfortunately it is not of all of us...

The saying to go with it will be

Hope your Holiday season is overflowing with Joy

Sorry we couldn't resist

Dino Park in Ogden with Camisha and Berklie! What a fun (hot!) pioneer day!Is it just me or is this summer flying by?

We got to eat at Rainbow gardens or "The Greenery", then spent a hot couple of hours with the dinosaurs.

On Friday we got to see baby Karlyn, Richard, Sara & Jocelyn for a minute at the gateway(Megan got married in the SL temple). Kara, Kindall, Russell, Jane, Cactus and I rode the front runner down to the gateway to meet them for pizza. That frontrunner is way fun, i suggest checking it out if you haven't yet. We also went to the drive in movie on Wed for Lisa's b-day, I forgot how fun those are...a good way to be able to watch a movie with two little kids.

Stinky but Happy

Yes right now I totally stink, but for those of you who know me well, you will know I am totally happy. My friend Stacey let me clean horse stalls, yes that's right LET me clean horse stalls this weekend for her.
This is bliss.

I HATE YOU!
I hate that I had to spend all day with you instead of playing with my poor children and lazing in bed until 10:30. I loathe how you strip my day of fun activities and blog stalking.
I can't believe how you have brazenly turned my family to your evil ways. Even my 6 month old baby has contributed to your evil cause. How dare you. How do you sleep at night?
I'm pretty sure you don't have any friends. I have yet to hear a positive statement about you. Sure I burn a few calories, but I'd rather go on a walk. My whole life I have tried to escape you and find shortcuts away from you. But still you loom dark and dismal in all the corners of my home.
I hate that when I do spend all day long with you I should feel a sense of accomplishment, but instead I find your friends Dusting and Wall Washing and Corner Vacuuming laughing and pointing at me. You taunt me with your never-endingness.
I would rather pay someone to do you, but then I feel guilty.
I abhor how you wait for me to return from vacation, or work or shopping with open arms.
And when I spend all day in your throes, you trick me. You trick me because I forgot all about going to the grocery store to buy something to cook for dinner.
For Shame.
I declare WAR. No longer will I bend to your wicked will. Not war as in a proactive sort, but in a Ghandi/Martin Luther King Jr. passive war. I will close my eyes to you. I will pretend the garbage should be overflowing. I will ignore the smell coming from the sink.
You will not conquer my spirit.
I am done with you....
Until someone comes over.
Or Wes needs clothes for work.
Or my kids need a bath.
Yours in eternity whether I like it or not,
Kristine
P.S. tell your friend Dirty Diapers that just because he is attached to something so achingly adorable that doesn't make us friends either...
and he stinks
(TO: HOUSEHOLD CHORES, ESPECIALLY YOU LAUNDRY AND DISHES)
