It's Pottie Time!!

I can't help but notice that many of my blogging friends are in the throes of potty-training and as a veteran, ok as someone whose two-year-old finally decided to go in the potty, I feel compelled to tell you the two main secrets to perfecting your potty-training.

Are you paying very close attention?

They are #1 the pee dance and #2 the poop dance. Although invigorating, they are ONLY to be used after either pee or poop has successfully been deposited in the toilet. I have enclosed detailed instructions and photos for performing both. You may thank me later. Also I need to let you know that Jane has choreographed both dances. Feel free to allow your toddler to add his/her own interpretive moves in his/her dance.
The Pee Dance

Begin by jumping high in the air

Next, clap your hands two times

Finally raise your hands high in the air and wiggle your fingers. Close your eyes, stick out your tongue and waggle it side to side. It should look roughly like this:

Yeah you just did the pee dance!

The Poop Dance

First, clasp your hands together

Then bend over and wiggle your behind ...

from side to side

That's the poop dance!

Good Luck!

Happy Valentine's Day to Me!

I looked at all of your amazing blogs and I decided I put way too many pictures of my adorable children on my blog and not enough of my arts and crafts that I spend hours on daily. So I promise no pictures of my punks on this post. (I got that term from an AWESOME website I am addicted to thanks to my cuz Annie, more on that later)Anyhow my husband really delivered this Valentine's Day and I want to thank him with all of my heart. Not only did he outfit me for a more enjoyable winter, (I am addicted to snowboarding coats) and a super-fun summer, he has folded laundry and watched Cactus Jack so I can escape for a couple hours. And he did NOT do it in the name of Valentine's Day, that's the best part! He does however refer to housework as "choreplay"

Oops how did those get in there? Sorry Suckas!

Hello little old man!

I want to try and make some baby clothes, they look way easy because let's admit it, they are square!

STUCK INSIDE

No post-partum depression yet, but I am already antsy to go out...we have been trying to keep busy inside, especially with the rampant RSV. Jill you need to show me how to take some great pictures. I have just been experimenting, I think I need a new camera and I'm trying to learn stuff on photoshop. Maybe I will have to take a class. Sorry guys, just random pictures from this week.

This is across the street, they had to bring in a backhoe to clean up our cul-de-sac, it just kept shrinking.

I know, Jane's birthday was like three weeks ago, but I hadn't gotten to make her cake yet, so it was a fun project for us the other day. And she has been getting dressed herself this week, she loves this shirt.

Making the Bed always seems a little harder and a little lumpier lately.

Did I mention my little boy is adorable? Well, judge for yourself. And the faces babies pull are so great : )

Welcome to the World

Well, everything went well and Heath aka Cactus Jack was born into this world at about 1:00 today. He weighed 7lbs. 9oz. and was 21 inches long. Kristine and baby are doing well, and this is about the only time he has cried, so we're hoping it continues. Also if you draw your attention to the background you can get a nice shot of the nurse. More pictures to come, but for now it's back to the hospital.

ICE ICE BABY

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANE!
She is threeeee whoopeee! So Jane had a super-fun birthday. On her very day (that is a Godfrey phrase) we went and got some cute cupcakes for her school, and I let her wear "the purple dress" As soon as she walked in the door the kids starting shouting, "Hey, it's your birthday!" it was really funny, Jane ATE IT UP! Well I am super mom, let me tell you because even tho I didn't really have anything that day I still took Jane to school, but don't hand me the award yet ladies and gentlemen there's more...
So my hygiene buddies and I decided long ago that we were in desperate need of an all-girls outing so naturally we chose IKEA. It just happened that the day we chose fell on Jane's birthday, oops! But being 9+ months pregnant, I didn't really want to take her so she went to school, but she loves school so that was ok.
And we had soooo much fun!

Wes aka Super Dad(yes he actually does deserve BEST HUSBAND/FATHER award) took her to Alvin and the Chipmunks and I am really really sorry folks but Wes and I snicker every time someone tells us that show is "good" because we would rather boil in our own pudding and I'm pretty sure I don't even know what that means. Anyhoo, Wes actually took her to that movie on her birthday and SHE LOVED IT! and I didn't go because I was still spending our life's savings on tv trays. So after the movie Jane was PUMPED cuz the movie was so freakin awesome, but it was a little chilly, so naturally she had her hands in her pockets....and Bang! Two loose teeth and blood everywhere later and don't worry folks she was fine the next day but seriously...
She had so much fun playing with her cousins (who have birthdays really close to Jane's) at the awesome swimming pool the next day I don't think she had much time to think about it. Thanks everyone for playing in the water and
Happy Happy Birthday Micki and Lexi!
ps jane's goal for year three (I promise she came up with it on her own) was to stop sucking her thumb, she hasn't stopped yet but we are still hopeful.
