Photo Tag

Well I am about ready to burst with a baby, HUGE, that photo is for you Ashlee and Mel, (please also note the church top that I accented with my maternity navy blue sweats, I love Sundays :)but I am playing the super lame waiting game where I've already cleaned my house (sorta) and washed the baby clothes and packed my bag (really this time). Well anyway my goal is to keep really really busy until this boy pops out. So I came up with this and please everyone do it when you get a chance, do it for me because I am bored. And I am just curious...Ok so here's how this is gonna go down. This is a photo tag so I will go first and have no shame whatsoever.

1. Favorite pair of shoes I own right now, (or even better a photo of all the shoes in your closet or just your closet... whatever looks the most intriguing.

SAAAAD.....it was really hard not to straighten them before I took this picture.
2. Dirtiest part of my house I keep putting off cleaning.

How do night stands get so dirty? and dusty? and chocolatey?

Note the baseboards, no I have not cleaned them since we moved in, disgusting!!! They drive me craaaaazy, yet they are still dirty, hmmmmm. and this is a pile of projects by my bed also.

3. What my child (or children) is/are doing while I'm posting this.

Watching Flushed Away

4. Best decorated part of your house right now.

Did I already say saaaad? thanks to Wes that some part of my house is decorated, I'm in between seasons you know?

5. What I would buy right now if I had $100 to spend on me.

6. What I would buy my husband if I had $100 to spend just on him (or one of your children or your dog) and he/they would wear or use posted item. (I got this idea from you Abbi)
We only have those lame standard shower heads and Wes is tall and likes the fancy ones, I just haven't gotten my lazy butt to buy him one yet. And he deserves a good massage, but not by me of course.

7. New years Resolution

ok it really is to write in a journal, but I can dream can't I?

8. Favorite Activity this or last week
My sister Kara and I went and got pedicures at the local beauty school, and jane got her toenails and fingernails done for like $3. She looooved it. I looooved it too. Oh look at those sausage feet! Soooo swollen.

9. Photo of the inside of your fridge, ok I am just curious! and no cleaning it first! and sorry I just cleaned mine but that's only because of this nasty nesting instinct, take it from me, it was really dirty before...think spilled jello! But check out how empty.

10. Favorite movie you've seen in the last six months, that's just so I'll have a good selection during those hours that I'm sitting around the next coupla months.

I loved this show!

Thanks Everyone, you rock! Now hurry and post stuff so I have something to do until the 28th! And I'm off to clean those baseboards and dust my lamp! Sorry you had to see that!

MY BUDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

THIS is my daughter Jane, she will be three on Friday, can you believe that? Well she has suddenly developed an interest in Photography. Here are a few of her first photos...see what you think.
She seems to be able to capture the mood of the subject well...note Sara has Costa Vida to go in her lap, thus the giant grin.
Um hmmm

Maybe next time she will let me get my hair outta my face first.

I liked the texture and contrast in this one, can you tell this is baby jocelyn's brand new carseat? I think Jane's looked this clean for 2 seconds.

Sometimes she gets it turned around, this was supposed to be a picture of baby Jocelyn.

I Wanna Wash My Hands My Face and Hair in SNOW!!!

Well it's crunch time now, only a few weeks to go on the whole -having a baby thing -(January 28th to be exact) So like the amazing and noble Mom that I am, I have been preparing my home and life for a brand new bundle of joy...(who can resist new powder?)

like washing all of his darling little baby clothes and organizing them according to size and color, in Dreft of course.(Aggie Game with the Parry's sooo much fun, GO AGGIES!!! check out the serious hug max and jane are sharing, they are so funny together!ps ashlee, jane has been carrying that pony AND the box around since the game. thanks for the great tickets again Reed!)and packing my hospital bag, just in case you know I'm not a WEEK over this time...

Christina, Reed, Richard, Baby Jocelyn and Sara came out for a couple of days from KC to hang out and surf, yes surf, and do a little snowboarding, oh yeah and guitar hero and the wii --fun, but no sleep :) right Sara and Wes?

Happy Birthday Richard!!!
I also spent A LOT of time making the baby's room comfortable and somewhere Martha Stewart would place her neighbor's baby.

Jane put these wall sticker polka dots on all by herself, we had a blast and even though they are helter skelter, it doesn't look half bad! I love Target! ps these come off and on easily without any residue. yeah I had to put that picture on the top because she looks just a little scary....they're all going to laugh at you echoes in my head.

Reading up on Scheduling my bundle of joy and the proper nutrition for both me and my baby

Weekend in Logan the night before Ainsley's blessing, always fun with Marci and Dave! Look at all those babes! I DID take a short little dip in the hot tub, it was COLD in the big pool! Don't worry I warmed up later with a lot of booze and got some great nutrition with lots of mercury-laden fish.

AND most important of All Wes and I picked out a stinkin Name!

MORE SNOW!!!

We had our TWO family parties both at my bro Rob's house, thanks thanks Rob and Sherstine! They hosted the family Christmas party and the New Years Party, we missed you mom and dad!!!! Dad you woulda rocked out on sing-star (Karaoke-like game) and Mom you would have given me a run for my money on DDR. BTW you should see Robert on DDR, he is really really good!

Now we are all prepared for a brand new baby boy! (?)

Random Sunday Thoughts

So I have had a life-long goal to have a catch phrase or quote that could be used at my funeral that people would hmmm over. So the quote I have come up with and had planned to needle-point on some cute pillows was, "You will never regret being kind" While I feel this is true, comments and feedback are appreciated, today in Relief Society I realized that my quote is much too little and much too late. Someone has beat me to this quote and made it encompass so much more. Charity never faileth. I have been thinking a lot lately about what I can do for others this season, and had an epiphany today. Thanks for reading my random thoughts!

PICK A GOOD ONE!

According to Godfrey/Webb tradition (or lore if you will), the day after Thanksgiving is for driving to The Great Salt Lake and picking out the perfect Christmas Tree. So Jane and I packed up the car and headed out on our adventure. No, it did not involve bringing an axe and braving the snow, just finding the keys to the Saturn, one small accident (jane's still working on it ok?) and lots of twine to hold the gigantic tree to our mini car. Here's some pics of Jane and her wonderful cousins, aunt, grandma and great grandma webb.
Another family tradition is decorating gingerbread houses at grandma Marci's home, I think Grandma did most of the decorating here.
Thanksgiving

When I tell anyone about our Thanksgiving this year I get one of three reactions...1. SHOCK, the whole open mouth, wide-eyed gasp. This reaction is usually from the really home-makie types who are good cooks. 2. Pity, this actually can follow #1, but the whole, Ohhhhh, you shoulda come over to our house for Thanksgiving. 3. LAUGHTER, and maybe a little envy. My parents are in Belarus and it is the year to celebrate Thanksgiving at their house. I did not want to prepare a full-course dinner for just our wee family. I know that is a weak excuse, but it worked! And look how happy it made my husband when he found out that I wouldn't have to slave over the stove and wash dishes all day! Refer to top AND bottom picture.

My cute family in Chuckarama (note the fake smile on Wes' face, can you see him thinking, "I would NOT choose to eat here anyway let alone Thanksgiving day.")
p.s. I got a three hour nap, anyone jealous?

Bahston

We had the chance to go to Boston a couple of weekends back. Wes went to conferences all day while I prowled around the town. The last day we did some serious sight-seeing. I think my favorite sites were the old cemetaries and the USS Constitution, or Old Ironsides, she was a beautiful boat and still in commission. I think Wes' favorite site was the Cheers bar.

Boston was very cold, but beautiful and a great city to take long walks. I still get a little nervous walking by myself (not from muggers, I have a horrible sense of direction) and strangely enough I got asked for directions everywhere I went. Those Bostonians think they are so smart with their Ivy league schools and all.
It was really nice to spend some time with Wes. We even got to get a gelato in the Italian part of town and enjoyed a relaxing night at the Boston Symphony. Somehow I didn't realize that walking a mile in high heels being 8 months pregnant on cobblestones is NOT a good idea.
